Being Bullied

Dear Joshua:

One of my friends at school is being bullied. She gets cornered by these really awful girls. It started out with them just yelling at her and teasing her to tears, but now they are hitting and kicking and slapping her. I’ve tried to help, but they turned on me and now I’m being bullied as well. The teachers know about this but do nothing. I’m really scared.

Dear Afraid:

Tell the Principal and Vice Principal of your school exactly what you told me. Also… tell your parents. Doing so will bring an immediate stop to the bullying.

While waiting for the bullying to stop, pray to God for the strength to help you deal with the physical and emotional pain that you and your friend are going through.

Plus… know this… because of the “free will” of man, God allows bad things to happen to people. The way we react to these bad things though, is what shapes the world. To shape the world, so it’s a better place for all of us, set good examples by being nice to everyone… including your enemies. Combine that with prayer, obedience to God and asking Jesus Christ to be your guide.

Take these important steps and you will become a stronger person who bullies will avoid.
